My goal is to cre­ate a web­site that becomes a prac­ti­cal resource for tax tips and other guid­ance regard­ing estate plan­ning and related top­ics.  I hope that this site will also gen­er­ate some lively con­ver­sa­tion about estate plan­ning and the chal­lenges and oppor­tu­ni­ties it poses for indi­vid­u­als and small businesses.

To facil­i­tate more ani­mated dis­cus­sion, there is no require­ment that you reg­is­ter or log in to the site to post or reply to comments.

While the empha­sis of this site may be on tax issues, estate plan­ning nec­es­sar­ily involves con­sid­er­a­tions other than taxes.  Thus, there will cer­tainly be blog posts and other resources dis­cussing Wills, the wide array of spe­cial­ized trusts in com­mon use today, and such diverse top­ics as guardian­ship, own­er­ship of for­eign bank accounts, and retire­ment planning.
